Duluth East Cross Country

All Cross Country participants and parents need to attend the Fall Sports Meeting at East High School Auditorium on August 14th at 5:00-5:50PM followed by the general session in the auditorium.

Captains:  reminder to attend Captain’s Meeting with Athletic Director Shawn Roed August 14th in Auditorium at 4:00PM-5:15PM

Season officially begins on Monday, August 11th at Lester Park Pavilion 8:00AM-10:00AM
Athletes please bring the following items to the park each day:
Water
Running shoes
Running clothes- rain or shine/ hot or cold

For First Week:
All forms and fees will be collected- check school website for information.
Sport fee $185.00
Forms A, B, C all need athlete and parent/guardian signatures- check both sides
Entering 7th or 10th grade MUST have sports physical on file current as of June 2014.
Separate fees apply for additional team uniform price TBD
Separate fees for OPTIONAL team clothing

Cross Country Pictures are available on Feb. 3, 2014 at East High School.  Coach Wicker will be there to hand out.  If you are not able to get them on that day see Coach Peller during the 8th grade Open House (February 11 in the evening).  Hope you are all enjoying the winter season!!!!!

East students are dismissed at 2:15.  We will have 2 buses going to the meet, leaving East at 2:30. One bus will load first at the middle school, then go to East. Students do not have to ride bus.

Swain Cross Country Sat., Oct. 5, 2013

Plan to arrive at Enger Park Golf Course at least 2 hours before your race.

Dress warmly. The forecast is for cold, windy, and rainy.

Be supportive of your teammates.   Clean up after yourselves. 

Stay and watch your teammates if possible.

Everyone from East and Denfeld should help with cleanup and tearing down of the course ( about 30 minutes). We make about $1,000 on this meet so please be helpful. Parents are welcome to help, too.

WE REALLY NEED A COUPLE OF PARENTS TO HELP WITH HANDING OUT MEDALS.  THERE ARE AWARDS FOR ALL RACES AND OUR USUAL MEDAL SORTER IS UNAVAILABLE.   WE NEED SOMEONE FROM ABOUT 9:30-3:00, BUT IF WE HAVE TWO OR THREE PEOPLE THEY COULD SWITCH OFF.  PLEASE RESPOND TO COACH PELLER AT shonda.peller@duluth.k12.mn.us OR COACH WICKER AT dhwicker5009@gmail.com if you are available.
