Team and families:  Last week had its challenges with individuals on our team.  This has been a work in progress and we as coaches feel the need to highlight once again our expectations of your child.  First and foremost, as a member of the Duluth East Cross Country team we hold our student athletes to standards that are identified in the handbook, in conjunction with MSHSL rules and policies.  If these are not being followed then you are not in good standing and may not compete at races.  This is unfortunate to address as many of our student athletes are able to comply, rise to occasions and be good role models for others.  Those that are not capable of these expectations need to discuss and reconsider their continuation on the team.

This week Swain is the focus and our workouts will reflect that as we prepare for the challenge of weather changes, course difficulty and sense of pride ad tradition at this historic meet.  It is a privilege to participate at Swain and for our seniors- we wish you a memorable and favorable race!
