Great first day!  Remember to take in plenty of fluids throughout the day and evening as you begin the season.  The first few weeks are challenging as you build a solid base if you haven’t been used to running during the summer.  Help stay healthy and injury free by talking to the coaches, doing the workouts and stretches along with the cool down exercises.  We are posting this week’s workout suggestions for those student-athletes that are unable to be with us due to excused circumstances.  If you do not attend practices and have unexcused absences you will not compete during meets. If you know other students that are planning on joining have them contact the coaches ASAP!!!

State Meet at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN Saturday, Nov.8, 2015.

Girls’ race at 10:00 AM

Boys’ race at 11:00AM

Best of Luck to our athletes and thanks for all the team /fan support of encouragement!!!

Congratulations to BOTH teams on Placing 2nd overall today in the Section 7AA meet and BOTH ADVANCING to STATE!!!

Truly a race day to remember folks.  Girls worked their way around Cloquet’s Country Club Golf  course with one GOAL in mind: return to the state meet. Mission accomplished.  Individual medal winners include Phoebe Koski with a 3rd place finish and Molly Weberg placing 7th overall.  Excellent day Team!!!

On the Boys’ side…….they too, had unfinished business this year as they took the course.  After falling just short last year from advancing, this year the motivation was obvious.  Excellent running and teamwork got the job done.  Initially tying with Cloquet for 2nd place as a team, the tiebreaker went to the number 6 runner (Andrew Arthur).  East advances!!!!!!!!!!!!  Unbelievable effort from the entire team!!!  Individual medal winners include Kendall Hill earning a 5th place finish and Jonathan Laughlin with a 7th place finish.
