FIRST MEET and PRACTICE THIS WEEK

Thursday, August 27th, at 10 am at Lester Park Golf Course we will have our first meet.  Every practice is a gift and so is this first meet.  We can not wait to watch them run!!

On Monday, August 24th – athletes should let coaches know if they want to run the 3K or 5K race.

They can fill in this form.  Meet Sign-Up for 8/27/2020  We are limited, due to COVID 19 precautions, on how many kids can be in a race.  We need to know to plan the race schedule.  Each race will be hand timed and scored. Results will be posted by Thursday evening on our website.  We will have a very specific arrival time posted Wednesday for the meet. Athletes should run their race and then leave. So different from years past when everyone stayed and cheered.  WE MUST keep our overall numbers low for the day. Thank you for supporting these precautions so we can have a safe and successful season. Lester Park Golf Course will have plenty of space for us to social distance.  More details about the meet will be posted Wednesday.

This week we will use the same time schedule for practice.  Monday – Wednesday.  Our meet is Thursday and NO Practice on FRIDAY, August 28th.

8 am – 7th and 8th graders arrive

8:30 am – 9th and 10th graders arrive

9:00 am – 11th and 12th graders arrive

JERSEYS

We will also be selling jerseys at practice Monday – Tuesday.  The older style jersey is $15 dollars and the newer style  jersey is $35.  If your athlete is running track, they will want the new style jersey.   If your kiddo has a jersey from past seasons, they may wear that.  Typically, athletes wear black shorts.

Please bring a check (made payable to Duluth East) or the exact amount to practice on Monday or Tuesday.

Reach out to any of the coaches if needed.

See you at practice on Friday, Aug. 21.

Great practice today! Lots of hard working and kind kiddos!
